This 21 carat gold diamond nose ring is built around a single round brilliant cut diamond set in a six-prong solitaire mount on a plain round wire hook fitting. The design is completely minimal — the entire piece consists of the diamond setting at the front and a simple curved gold wire that hooks through the nose piercing to hold the piece in place. There is no additional decoration, no beads, no filigree, no pattern — the diamond solitaire is the only visible element from the front, and the plain gold hook wire is the only other component.
The diamond is set in a classic six-prong round solitaire mount — six individual gold claws gripping the stone at six evenly spaced positions around the stone’s circumference, holding the round brilliant cut diamond elevated above the base of the setting. The six-prong mount keeps the gold presence around the stone minimal, allowing light to enter the diamond from the sides and bottom as well as the face, which maximizes the light return and sparkle of the stone.
